Ad-Hoc Networks

In today's world every person have at least a one smartphone and one computer of whatever the specifications is. Every people carry numerous devices with them like laptop,mobile phones,tablets and mp3 players.Sometimes we need to transfer some files instantly from one device but we need internet connection or external storage device to move or have to send via networks for which we need infrastructure or we have to rely on infrastructure such as routers in wired networks or access points in managed (infrastructure) wireless networks.

So, if we don't have any of these resource we will not be able to transfer our files and our work will be undone.

So, if we want to do data communication directly we need to establish the ad-hoc network to do data communication.

What is ad-hoc Network?

In simple language ad-hoc network is Local area network (LAN) that is built spontaneously as device connect.It is a temporary network created for specific purpose (in our case for transferring data). The network is ad hoc because it does not rely on a pre existing infrastructure, such as routers in wired networks or access points in managed (infrastructure) wireless networks. In Latin "Ad hoc" means "for this purpose" means for any special purpose.It can connect computer and devices directly to each other, rather than to a server, hub, or router.so it is also known as computer to computer or peer to  peer network.

Why use ad-hoc Network?

Every people want his/her work completed in no time no matter what he is doing just completed in less time and less effort and output as wanted.So,in file transfer every people wants to transfer his/her data as quick as possible.so here we can use ad hoc network to transfer quickly without using other external device or any infrastructure.ad hoc network give us power so you can quickly set up a temporary network anywhere and transfer data. And because using an ad hoc network can save you time and can even help you handle stress.

Where we can use ad hoc networks?

=>Share an Internet connection.
if you have two or more computers at home but only one  have internet connection and others don't have the internet then you can create a ad hoc connection and make available the internet to all computers near you having a WiFi cards.

=>for Connecting computers
 In school or college teacher or professor want to distribute the assignment or educational movie via his laptop to everyone in the class he/she can create a ad hoc network and then every one will be able to copy those files quickly.

=>for transferring data without any resource
when you have to transfer the data from one computer to other and you don't have any resource to transfer but you have WiFi cards in both then you can transfer the data one from another via this temporary connection it can give up to 11 Mbps of transfer speed over WiFi.

=>Play multiplayer.
you can play multiplayer games connecting via ad hoc networks.

If you want to create a ad hoc network on your window 7 personal computers or or windows xp or old operating system you can create it very easily via control panel but if you want to create in windows 8 or windows 10 then you need to wait because these new operating system don't have direct option to create a ad hoc network.But wait for my next post. I will tell you how to create a ad hoc network and use it.

Wanna Know how to create a ad hoc network
and how to use it .?
Wait for my next post.. :)

Thank You
